| Welcome To My Riverdogs Home Page This site is a fan site dedicated to the Charleston Riverdogs! I try to make it to all the games and take as many pictures as I can. I started going to games in '99'. I make Riverdogs scrapbooks and this is a way for me to share my pics! | *RIVERDOGS NEWS* ***6/6/01 Congratulations to Ex Riverdog Joe Kennedy who went from Charleston to AA to the majors! Joe played his first game for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays tonight. Joe got the win for a score of 6-2! Joe that's wonderful! Good luck on your next outing with the Rays! |
South Atlantic League All Stars! ***South takes North 5-2! Congratulations to the three Riverdogs who played in the 2001 All Star Game! I was lucky enough to get a pic of the 3 of them together after the game! (pictured above: Daniel Marsh, Adam Bonner and Justin Schuda) *Justin Schuda vs. Redstixx catcher(Dont know his name don't care!) Check out my whats new page to read about it! Props to Justin! *Check out my whats new page to see the pic of the month!New Pics Added 7/17/01 *Whats all the talk about our new centerfielder? He is a 19 yr. old from Rhode Island named Rocco Baldelli. Straight from high school to professional baseball! He is quite the athlete! Not only did he play baseball in high school but also basketball,volleyball and he ran track! He sounds quite impressive by what I have heard so far! Lorne Chambers quoted Rocco in the Charleston CITY PAPER as saying, "The reason I am here is to get to the majors, I mean you don't play minor league ball unless it is your goal to make it to the major league." Well good luck Rocco and can I have your autograph?? :) >***On April 19th 2001 we got another player. Brandon Backe! Brandon was my favorite player when I first started coming to the games in '99'. I actually got the chance to see him play in St. Petersburg that same season! When I watched him play in Charleston he was in the outfield but now he is center stage! What a pitcher? When did this happen? Who knows but he is off to a wonderful start! His first outing with the riverdogs this time around he managed to pitch two innings with a walk and no runs. His first save for the Dogs came on 5/2/01. Go Brandon! Welcome back to Charleston!! |

Many of you may remember Yurendell Decaster from last season. I ran into him in Hickory at the All Star game. He is Playing for the Hickory Crawdads now. He joined this team last month.
